The HR Executive (Talent Acquisition & People Operations) at Baitussalam Welfare Trust (BWT) will oversee comprehensive human resource functions across multiple entities, including the Head Office in Karachi, regional branches, medical laboratories, Jamia, BMI, and STEM schools. This role is pivotal in managing talent acquisition, performance management, employee onboarding and offboarding, as well as staff engagement initiatives. The HR Executive will support operational leadership by maintaining robust candidate pipelines and ensuring smooth HR processes across diverse locations, contributing to the overall growth and efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Headhunting:
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all BWT entities, handling 5 to 8 active job openings concurrently. Develop clear and structured job descriptions and source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, and targeted headhunting. Conduct initial HR interviews to evaluate cultural fit and coordinate technical assessments with relevant department heads. Lead offer negotiations, issue appointment letters, and ensure timely closure of critical staffing needs.
Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Lifecycle:
Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding program tailored for new hires across educational and welfare divisions. Ensure compliance with pre-employment requirements such as documentation, credential verification, and reference checks. Oversee employee separation processes by conducting exit interviews, analyzing attrition data, coordinating asset returns, and managing clearance documentation for payroll processing and final settlements.
Performance Management & Appraisals:
Lead the annual and mid-year performance appraisal processes for all departments and satellite entities. Train department heads and branch supervisors on setting objectives, evaluating KPIs, and providing constructive feedback. Compile appraisal results, maintain performance records, and collaborate with executive leadership to administer performance-linked increments or corrective measures.
Employee Engagement, Events & Welfare:
Act as the HR lead for institutional events including the BWT Olympiad, conferences, and annual gatherings. Manage staff participation, duty assignments, and recognition programs. Implement employee engagement and wellness initiatives to enhance morale across various locations. Serve as a neutral point of contact for employee grievances, conducting preliminary inquiries and mediating conflicts prior to formal escalation.
Policy Implementation & HR Analytics:
Support the review and updating of HR policies to ensure alignment with organizational values and compliance with labor regulations. Maintain recruitment and attrition dashboards, providing monthly reports on hiring velocity, turnover rates, and sourcing effectiveness to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management (BBA/MBA HR) or related social sciences.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in HR Generalist roles, Talent Acquisition, or People Operations.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end recruitment across diverse roles including administrative, academic, technical, and healthcare sectors.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging senior leaders and branch staff effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of local labor laws, contract administration, and ethical HR practices.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with modern HRIS platforms is highly desirable, especially familiarity with Flow HCM.
- Competitive monthly salary starting from Rs. 80,000.
- The role requires in-person presence at the Head Office in Karachi.
