We are a multi-division US transportation company seeking an experienced HR professional to oversee recruitment, payroll, and overall human resources functions across all business lines and departments. This role is fully remote, requiring the individual to work according to US Eastern Standard Time (New York). The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into HR and employee relations issues, including interviewing involved parties and drafting detailed reports with recommended remedial actions.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for all investigations and analyze data from various reporting systems to ensure timely progress and resolution of cases.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders related to each case, ensuring appropriate and satisfactory closure.
- Independently handle assigned casework, bringing investigations to a swift and definitive conclusion.
- Design, collect, and analyze feedback from employees and stakeholders at multiple levels to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with business partners, Corporate Employee Relations (ER) teams, Compliance, and Legal departments on complex employee investigations.
- Manage critical, crisis-oriented employee relations issues, ensuring successful resolution within established timeframes and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Partner with business units to analyze and revise people programs, policies, and practices, contributing to engagement and cultural initiatives aimed at improving ER/IR (Employee Relations/Industrial Relations) hotspots.
- Lead large-scale ER/IR projects and engage in the resolution of complex cases, providing expert guidance and support throughout.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Near-fluent English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work diligently and go above and beyond standard expectations.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
