Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its Pakistan Retail Organization based in Lahore. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Retail Leadership and Store Management to address key people-related matters. The successful candidate will support business priorities through talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, and HR operations. This position plays a critical role in fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s values while driving initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Retail Leadership and functional managers to understand business priorities and provide strategic HR counsel, translating needs into effective people solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor on organization effectiveness, performance, talent management, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate on manpower planning, organizational structure, productivity, succession planning, and talent deployment across the Retail organization.
- Support the implementation of the broader People Strategy and ensure execution of HR priorities within Retail.
- Lead employee engagement, wellness, and culture initiatives in partnership with Retail Leadership.
- Identify and promote opportunities to strengthen diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee experience in alignment with global and country strategies.
- Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of issues.
- Proactively identify and address potential employee relations risks and recommend interventions.
- Partner with leadership on disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations, and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Support talent management activities including talent identification, succession planning, internal mobility, and development of critical roles.
- Drive the annual performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and development planning.
- Collaborate with Talent & Development on learning and capability-building initiatives tailored to Retail needs.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment to ensure a consistent employee experience.
- Work with the Rewards team on compensation, benefits, recognition, and other people programs.
- Monitor workforce metrics and provide data-driven insights and dashboards to leadership using AI models.
- Prepare annual budgets and five-year rolling forecasts related to people costs aligned with business plans.
- Maintain integrity of employee data across HR systems such as Workday and AskHR.
- Develop and implement HR policies and processes in line with company standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure effective execution of HR processes across Retail locations, maintaining alignment with country HR guidelines and governance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Retail Leadership, Country Leadership, Finance, Talent & Development, and Rewards, as well as external partners such as recruitment agencies, legal counsel, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in management sciences or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of HR experience with a strong focus on HR Business Partnering, preferably within Retail, Consumer, FMCG, or customer-facing industries.
- Proven experience working with business leaders and frontline/store teams across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in HRIS/ATS systems such as Workday or SAP.
- Solid knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements in Pakistan.
