HSE Coordinator

Gatron (Industries) Limited, a leading manufacturer of polyester filament yarn and PET preforms, is looking for a dedicated HSE Coordinator to join their plant located in Hub, Balochistan. This role is focused on supporting safe plant operations by enhancing workplace safety practices and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to maintain a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of the plant to identify unsafe conditions and practices, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
- Assist in hazard identification, risk assessments, and job safety analyses for production, maintenance, and contractor activities.
- Monitor adherence to permit-to-work procedures, energy isolation protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and safe practices during high-risk operations.
- Coordinate the reporting of incidents and near-misses, support investigations, and ensure that preventive measures are tracked to completion.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors to reinforce safety standards.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including fire safety inspections and evacuation drills.
- Maintain comprehensive HSE records, inspection reports, and performance statistics; assist with internal and external audits as well as regulatory documentation.
- Promote safe chemical handling, good housekeeping, waste segregation, and environmentally responsible practices within the plant.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology, or a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or Occupational Health & Safety from a recognized institution.
- 3 to 5 years of practical HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment. Experience in polyester, textile, plastics, or chemical operations will be considered an advantage.
- Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills, with the ability to engage effectively with shop-floor teams and ensure follow-up on corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- NEBOSH International General Certificate is preferred.
- Additional training in fire safety, first aid, and incident investigation will be advantageous.
