HSE Officer (Contract) - Multan

Accrescent Engineers (Pvt.) Ltd is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer on a contract basis for a project located in Multan. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and hold a DAE, B.E., B.Sc. in Engineering, or an equivalent HSE qualification. This role involves working closely with the project team to ensure the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires hands-on involvement at the site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices at the project site.
- Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to maintain awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, work permits, electrical safety, work-at-height regulations, lifting operations, and housekeeping standards.
- Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and recommend corrective or preventive actions to mitigate risks.
- Monitor contractors and site workforce to ensure compliance with established safety standards.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, maintaining accurate HSE records.
- Prepare daily and weekly HSE reports and maintain all necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and client HSE team on all safety-related matters to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Ensure emergency procedures, fire safety arrangements, and first-aid facilities are properly established and maintained.
- Stop unsafe work activities when necessary and immediately report any critical safety violations to prevent accidents.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Engineering, or relevant HSE qualification.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within construction or project-site environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSE practices and construction/project-site safety requirements.
- Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident reporting procedures.
- Excellent communication and site coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage safety initiatives effectively on-site.
- Willingness to work on-site in Multan for the duration of the project.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
