This role involves managing various aspects of import operations, ensuring smooth customs clearance, accurate documentation, and efficient handling of shipments. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining detailed records and coordinating physical inspections and logistics activities related to inbound shipments. Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory requirements are essential to support the overall import process.

Key Responsibilities

- Submit Import Manifests to customs authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handle Import Bill of Lading (IB L/V) clearance procedures efficiently.
- Manage import data manifestations, ensuring all information is correctly recorded and updated.
- Verify B/F (Brought Forward) and B/C (Brought Current) accounts for accuracy and compliance.
- Attach duty slips to shipments to ensure proper documentation accompanies each consignment.
- Conduct scanning of inbound shipments, including exceptions and damaged goods, to maintain shipment integrity.
- Prepare and maintain reports, data files, and records related to import activities for audit and reference purposes.
- Oversee physical examination of shipments, including loading and driving logistics as required.
- Manage detention orders and related follow-ups to minimize delays and penalties.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in import operations, customs clearance, and shipment handling.
- Strong knowledge of customs documentation and import regulations.
- Ability to manage detailed record-keeping and reporting tasks accurately.
- Competence in coordinating physical logistics such as loading and driving.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to handle exceptions and damages effectively.
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate with customs officials and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Prior experience in a similar role within the logistics or import-export industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with detention order procedures and customs compliance is preferred.
- The position offers a monthly salary of Rs 35,000.00.
- This role requires physical presence at the designated work location to ensure hands-on management of import activities.
