We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team, responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, along with related equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with commercial rooftop HVAC units and ventilation systems, ensuring their optimal performance through routine and preventive maintenance. This role demands a proactive approach to troubleshooting and emergency response, with a strong commitment to maintaining high service standards and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain heating, air conditioning, ventilation systems, and pumps.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as filter replacement, coil cleaning, and drive belt repairs on ventilation equipment.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on commercial rooftop heating and cooling units.
- Inspect HVAC systems and components, including heating units, building exhaust fans, and ventilation units, to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Prepare detailed written documentation, including repair status reports and activity logs, to track maintenance work accurately.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations during or outside office hours to address urgent HVAC problems.
- Fabricate equipment parts when necessary to meet specialized requirements or replace unavailable components.
- Insulate valves and chilled water pipes to enhance system efficiency.
- Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC systems to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
- Adhere strictly to all service standards, work instructions, and safety protocols.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior management to support the effective functioning of the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification such as DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering), TTC (Technical Training Certificate), or Matric with a relevant technical diploma.
- Between 2 to 5 years of practical experience in industrial or building project environments, specifically related to HVAC maintenance and repair.
