We are looking for a skilled and adaptable QA Engineer with expertise in both manual testing and automation to join our healthcare technology team. This hybrid role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our software products while developing scalable automation frameworks. Your contributions will directly impact the delivery of high-quality healthcare solutions that support clinicians, enhance operational efficiency, and improve patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Manual QA (50%)
- Review software requirements and develop detailed test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual tests to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools.
- Perform regression testing to maintain the stability of existing features.
- Validate compliance with Electronic Health Record (EHR) standards and usability requirements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to define effective testing strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to enhance product quality.
Automation QA (50%)
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Convert manual test cases into automated test scripts.
- Build scalable and reusable automation libraries and components.
- Execute automated test suites covering functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Perform API testing for RESTful services.
- Support cross-browser testing and cloud-based test execution environments.
- Continuously contribute to improving automation practices, tools, and frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing.
- Strong experience with Playwright for test automation.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in REST API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Ability to write SQL queries and perform database validations.
- Experience with cross-browser testing techniques.
- Familiarity with Docker or other containerized environments.
- Experience using bug tracking tools like Jira or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Availability to work during US business hours.
