Key Responsibilities

- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards, ensuring practical application of IFRS such as IFRS 9, 15, 16, 10, 3, 13, 11, 5, IAS 36, 16, 38, 28, and others as relevant.
- Provide technical accounting support by preparing IFRS technical memos, position papers, and developing or updating accounting policies.
- Assist with complex accounting judgments, estimates, and interpretations to support accurate financial reporting.
- Support transaction accounting activities including business combinations, purchase price allocations, goodwill calculations, non-controlling interest accounting, acquisitions, disposals, step acquisitions, group restructurings, carve-outs, and closing balance sheet preparations.
- Assess accounting impacts related to financing arrangements and capital restructurings.
- Develop and deliver IFRS training sessions for both internal teams and clients, including preparation of training materials, presentations, and practical case studies.
- Provide ongoing IFRS knowledge support to engagement teams to ensure compliance and up-to-date technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACA, or ACCA is mandatory.
- Strong technical grounding in IFRS standards with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a Big Four or reputable accounting/advisory firm, or IFRS-focused roles within large corporates.
- Hands-on involvement in IFRS advisory, technical accounting, or complex accounting engagements.
- Proven ability to interpret accounting standards and apply them effectively to real-world business scenarios.
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos and advisory deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate accounting conclusions to diverse stakeholders including finance teams, auditors, and senior management.
