We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Import Executive to oversee the complete import process along with managing banking and trade finance activities. The role is based in Karachi at I.I. Chundrigar Road within the chemical manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth import operations from purchase order initiation to final delivery, while maintaining effective coordination with banks, suppliers, and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire import cycle starting from Purchase Order or Indent through to clearance and delivery.
- Prepare and handle Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Contracts, Pre-Arrival Declarations (PADs), import documents, and other banking instruments.
- Liaise with banks for LC openings, amendments, document retirement, payments, and import financing arrangements.
- Monitor LC maturities, PADs, bank charges, and ensure timely payments related to imports.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers, banks, clearing agents, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to facilitate smooth operations.
- Review and verify shipping documents, invoices, Bills of Lading (BLs), packing lists, certificates, and Goods Declarations (GDs) for accuracy and compliance.
- Track shipments, estimated time of arrivals (ETAs), vessel arrivals, customs clearance, and delivery to warehouse or factory locations.
- Maintain organized records of import files, banking documents, and shipment statuses.
- Collaborate with Accounts and Finance teams on landed cost calculations, payments, reconciliations, and financing needs.
- Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports on import and banking status for management review.
- Ensure timely completion of all import documentation and proactively resolve any operational issues that arise.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in imports, trade finance, and bank dealings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of import documentation and banking procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to follow up diligently and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple import shipments simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

- Candidates available for immediate or early joining will be given preference.
- Competitive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Monthly pay range: Rs 60,886.78 to Rs 93,481.25.
- This is an in-person role based at the company’s Karachi office.
