Import Export Manager

The Import Export Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Karachi Division. This position involves managing daily import and export activities, ensuring smooth customs clearance, and overseeing the preparation and accuracy of export and import documentation. The manager will ensure all operations comply with international trade regulations while coordinating with various stakeholders to optimize logistics processes. This role requires hands-on involvement in shipment planning, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining detailed records and reports to support continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day import and export operations, including customs clearance and shipment coordination.
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely and compliant shipment processing.
- Generate Goods Declarations (GDs) and manage the documentation process for all shipments.
- Lead and manage the team responsible for planning and executing shipments, resolving operational issues effectively.
- Monitor shipment schedules, maintain accurate records, and prepare operational reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics workflows and enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Import Export and International Trade, with practical knowledge of cross-border shipment management and GD creation.
- Strong skills in Export and Import documentation, including preparation, review, and compliance maintenance of shipment-related records.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate professionally with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Experience in Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) operations, preferably within Pakistan or similar markets.
- Strong organizational abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in basic office software and shipment tracking tools; familiarity with ERP or logistics management systems is advantageous.
