Our client, a confidential organization based in Gujranwala, is seeking an experienced Import Export Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the company’s import and export activities. The successful candidate will ensure strict compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations while managing documentation and facilitating efficient cross-border transactions. This role requires a minimum of seven years of relevant experience and the ability to lead a small team effectively. A proactive mindset and positive attitude are essential to navigate challenges and maintain smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage all import and export operations, ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations and customs laws.
- Review and process import-export documentation accurately and promptly to meet legal and company standards.
- Lead and supervise a team member by providing guidance, training, and ongoing support to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on customs regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements that impact import and export activities.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Manage shipment schedules proactively to avoid delays and resolve logistical issues as they arise.
- Analyze current processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance.
- Develop and enforce customs compliance programs and internal controls to minimize risks associated with non-compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections related to import/export transactions to ensure adherence to all regulations.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners to support operational needs and resolve any import/export challenges.
- Maintain detailed records and reports on transactions, compliance matters, and team performance metrics.
