Sanpak Engineering Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated professional to manage the import operations and trade finance activities within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling Letters of Credit (LCs), import payments, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant import processes. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of import documentation and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Letters of Credit (LCs), import payments, and trade finance transactions in coordination with banks. Verify all import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, LCs, Bills of Lading (B/Ls), airway bills, and Goods Declarations (GDs). Work closely with clearing agents, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance of shipments. Ensure full compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, Weboc procedures, and Incoterms 2020. Monitor shipments to avoid demurrage and detention charges. Maintain accurate import records and update land costs within the ERP system (SAP).
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in import operations, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sectors. Strong knowledge of LC processes, Weboc system, customs clearance procedures, and Harmonized System (HS) codes is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field is required. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is necessary to manage records and reporting effectively.
