Huawei is seeking a skilled IMS Core Planning Assistant Engineer to join their team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in IMS core network monitoring, network design, project support integration, commissioning, and acceptance of new network nodes. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with multiple vendors and internal teams to ensure optimal network performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor network utilization and analyze growth trends across IMS core network elements to maintain efficient operations.
- Develop a thorough understanding of end-to-end High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for IMS core products, including ATS, CSCF, SBC, and DRA/STP.
- Coordinate with telecom vendors such as Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, and Ericsson, as well as contractors and internal departments, to evaluate vendor proposals and recommend the best technical solutions.
- Take ownership of network safety, ensuring all operations comply with established standards and protocols.
- Support project activities including integration, commissioning, implementation, and acceptance of new nodes to facilitate smooth network expansions.
- Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and grow professionally within the IMS domain.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience working in core network environments, particularly within the IMS domain.
- Solid understanding of basic communication and data communication principles.
- Knowledge of IMS core call flows and scenarios aligned with 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, and ETSI standards.
- Familiarity with IMS core network nodes such as CSC, ATS, OCS, CCF, IM-MGW, SBC, and PCRF, along with protocols including SIP, Diameter, and H.248.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like internal/external tracing utilities and Wireshark.
- Ability to analyze customer requirements, manage technical challenges, and provide effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with junior-level technical customers, explaining technical solutions, project plans, and progress clearly.
