We are seeking a highly experienced Master Mariner with a strong background in tanker operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant sailing experience in a senior capacity on tankers, complemented by shore-based experience in the commercial division of a reputable tanker-owning company, tanker commercial operators, or tanker management. Alternatively, candidates holding a Master’s Degree in any discipline from an HEC-recognized institute with substantial relevant shore experience in the commercial division of a reputable ship-owning company or tanker commercial operators will also be considered. This role requires a professional who can bring expertise in tanker chartering and commercial operations, contributing effectively to our organization’s strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage commercial operations related to tanker vessels, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial division to optimize tanker chartering activities and maximize operational efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership based on extensive sailing and shore experience to support decision-making processes.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders, including tanker owners, operators, and charterers.
- Monitor market trends and contribute to the development of commercial strategies that enhance company performance.
- Ensure all documentation and reporting related to tanker operations are accurate and timely.
- Support the integration of commercial and operational functions to improve overall vessel performance and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Proven sailing experience on tankers in a senior capacity, ideally accompanied by at least one year of shore experience in the commercial division of a reputable tanker-owning company, tanker commercial operators, or tanker management, preferably in tanker chartering.
OR
- Master’s Degree in any discipline from an HEC-recognized institute.
- Minimum of five years of relevant shore experience within the commercial division of a reputable ship-owning company, tanker commercial operators, or ship management, with a preference for experience in tanker chartering.
- Strong knowledge of tanker operations, commercial shipping practices, and industry standards.
- Age limit: Maximum 50 years.
