Industrial Product Design Engineer

OBI Designs is seeking a skilled Industrial Product Design Engineer on a contract, project-by-project basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing consumer products based on client briefs. This role involves taking projects from initial concept stages through to detailed 3D CAD modeling and creating presentation-ready renders. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret client briefs to develop innovative consumer product concepts.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
- Produce high-quality product renderings with KeyShot for presentations.
- Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure designs are production-ready.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to refine concepts and meet project requirements.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently within the contract timeline.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks with a strong portfolio demonstrating 3D CAD design skills.
- Experience using Fusion 360 for product development.
- Skilled in product rendering, preferably with KeyShot.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and DFM.
- Ability to translate conceptual ideas into detailed, production-ready designs.
