We are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing infection control policies, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with established standards. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety and maintain high-quality care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure effective management of healthcare-associated infections.
- Conduct regular infection control audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and report healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) to track trends and support timely interventions.
- Educate healthcare staff on infection control practices and protocols to promote adherence and awareness.
- Ensure compliance with both local and international infection control standards and regulations.
- Investigate infection outbreaks promptly and recommend appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN or equivalent) complemented by a one-year diploma in Infection Prevention.
- Valid nursing license or registration is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of clinical experience, with preference given to candidates who have prior infection control experience.
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention guidelines, protocols, and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train staff and organize educational sessions effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
