Infinium Technologies is looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer specializing in hardware infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the physical setup, maintenance, and repair of computer systems and peripheral devices. This role ensures that all hardware assets operate at peak performance and reliability, supporting the company’s overall IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and configure physical hardware components such as workstations, laptops, servers, and printers.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs of faulty hardware components including RAM, hard drives, power supplies, and motherboards.
- Manage IT asset inventory by tagging, tracking, and maintaining all hardware in excellent working condition.
- Set up and optimize physical network cabling (Ethernet), routers, switches, and access points to maintain stable and reliable connectivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 1 to 3 years of practical experience in hardware maintenance and desktop support roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of computer architecture, hardware assembly, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting physical components.
- Physical ability to handle and move equipment and perform installations across various office environments.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or other hardware-focused credentials are highly preferred, demonstrating validated expertise in hardware support.
