Information Technology Specialist

GRP Engineers & Consultants, located in DHA Phase 2, Lahore, is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Specialist / IT Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support across the organization, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networking equipment, printers, and CCTV surveillance systems. This role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and managing various IT infrastructure components to support daily business activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for computers, laptops, and other office IT equipment.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and related software applications.
- Manage and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi networks, routers, and switches to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and printing systems.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, internet, email, and network-related issues promptly.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and update technical documentation regularly.
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including data backups and basic network security measures.
- Provide day-to-day technical assistance to office staff, ensuring minimal disruption to IT services.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience working with printers, scanners, and CCTV camera systems.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, LAN, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving abilities combined with effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA are considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in IT support or networking roles is preferred, enhancing the candidate’s ability to manage complex IT environments efficiently.
