The Information Technology Support Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Karachi Division. The specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users by installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, peripherals, and basic network connections. This position involves responding to help desk requests, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and escalating complex problems when necessary. Daily tasks include troubleshooting system errors, ensuring systems remain secure and up to date, maintaining detailed documentation of incidents and resolutions, and collaborating with other departments to address IT-related needs. Additionally, the role supports onboarding new users, delivers basic IT training, and contributes to the continuous improvement of IT support processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide end-user technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and basic network connections.
- Respond promptly to help desk requests and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose system errors and ensure security updates are applied regularly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and support activities.
- Escalate complex technical problems to higher-level support when required.
- Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up IT equipment and providing initial training.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Collaborate with various departments to support their IT requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within IT support processes.

Required Qualifications

- Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills for common hardware and software issues.
- Hands-on experience with desktop computers, operating systems, and peripheral devices.
- Foundational knowledge of IT principles, including networking and system security.
- Experience providing help desk support, including ticketing systems, incident tracking, and user communication.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Karachi Division and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
