The NUST School of Health Sciences is seeking a dedicated nursing professional to join the Department of Nursing. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of clinical experience and possess the necessary qualifications to effectively contribute to the education and supervision of nursing students. This role involves hands-on demonstration of nursing procedures, assisting with skills-lab activities, and overseeing students during their clinical rotations at affiliated hospitals and healthcare facilities. The position requires a commitment to maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance, as well as providing constructive feedback to support students’ clinical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate appropriate nursing procedures and clinical skills to students.
- Assist in skills-lab demonstrations, simulations, and competency assessments.
- Supervise nursing students during clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Assess students’ clinical competencies and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain students’ clinical attendance, rotation schedules, and performance records.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Competent Authority.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in General Nursing & Diploma in Midwifery, or
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Post RN, or BSM.
- 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience in the nursing field.
- Strong foundation in health discipline and clinical nursing practices.
Candidates must submit scanned copies of all academic and professional documents. The last education certificate or degree must be attested or verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Applicants will be considered ineligible if they have a third division in their academic career or a weak academic profile. Current NUST employees with less than one year of service or without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Institution are not eligible. Candidates who are still pursuing the required degree or are medically unfit will also be disqualified. Those serving in government departments or armed forces must apply through their respective parent organizations.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for tests or interviews. No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending these assessments.
