The IT Administrator will oversee the daily IT operations and infrastructure of the company, ensuring all systems, devices, and networks run smoothly and securely. This role involves managing user access, providing technical support, and maintaining the reliability of IT resources. The IT Administrator will work closely with various teams to support business applications and contribute to ongoing IT projects and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain laptops, desktops, networks, Wi-Fi, printers, and other IT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues promptly and effectively.
- Set up IT equipment, user accounts, and system access for new employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, email systems, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other business-critical applications.
- Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory and manage software licenses to ensure compliance and availability.
- Implement basic IT security measures, including antivirus protection, system updates, data backups, and access controls to safeguard company data.
- Manage employee IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including asset recovery and account deactivation to maintain security and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and service delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, policies, and support records to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Support the CTO or Head of IT with various IT projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT administration or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and general IT troubleshooting.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, user access management, and IT asset management best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with strong communication and organizational skills.
