We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Assistant to support our organization’s daily IT operations. The ideal candidate will assist with hardware and software management, network connectivity, user support, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and IT documentation to ensure smooth and efficient IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems related to operating systems, applications, networks, and peripherals.
- Set up user accounts, email accounts, software, and workstation equipment.
- Assist with network and internet connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor IT equipment and report technical issues to the IT Manager.
- Support antivirus, security, and access-control procedures.
- Carry out other IT-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in IT support preferred; fresh graduates with relevant technical skills are also encouraged to apply.
- Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common computer hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and printer troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office support.
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networking.
- Skills in printer and peripheral device configuration.
- Familiarity with IT asset management practices.
