We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Engineer specializing in systems administration and network management to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. This full-time role involves maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with servers, networking equipment, and IT security, along with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking devices.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file servers.
- Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery operations, and software updates or patching.
- Provide technical support to end-users by resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Document IT infrastructure, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for system upgrades, procurement, and IT projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System/Network Engineer, IT Support Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience working with routers, switches, firewalls, and virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Hands-on expertise in managing Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively support users and coordinate with internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or MCSA are highly desirable. Experience in IT project management and familiarity with ITIL best practices will be considered a plus.
