IT Executive (Male)

My City Hospital, a trust-based multi-specialty healthcare facility, provides comprehensive medical services under one roof, dedicated to delivering quality care and serving humanity. We are seeking an experienced IT Executive for a full-time position to support our hospital’s IT infrastructure.

The IT Executive will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all computer hardware and related devices throughout the hospital. This includes managing desktops, printers, biometric attendance systems, network equipment, and other essential IT hardware to ensure smooth hospital operations. The role requires close collaboration with the IT Manager and Hospital Administrator to provide timely technical support and maintain system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hospital computer hardware and peripherals.
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware issues reported by staff across various departments such as OPD, laboratory, pharmacy, emergency, and wards.
- Ensure proper functioning of printers, scanners, biometric attendance machines, and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware problems and coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Monitor and maintain UPS systems, internet routers, and LAN cabling infrastructure.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware assets and update records regularly.
- Assist in setting up IT systems for new staff and departments.
- Support video conferencing tools and presentation equipment during hospital meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain data backups and ensure minimal downtime during hardware failures.
- Collaborate with the software and IT support teams for integrated system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, basic networking, and peripheral device maintenance.
- Experience with hospital IT systems is advantageous.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues efficiently under pressure, especially in emergency settings.
- Good communication skills and ability to document technical issues clearly.
- Experience supporting hospital management or clinical software systems.
- Competence in managing user accounts, system access, and basic network requirements.
- Understanding of backup procedures and data security best practices.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors for IT-related services and repairs.
- Commitment to providing timely technical support during operational hours.

This is a full-time contract position for 12 months, requiring approximately 10 hours of work per day. The role is based on-site at the hospital, located in Karachi. The monthly salary starts from Rs. 40,000.
