IT Intern (Male)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to join the team at Aptech Metro Star Gate Center in Karachi. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical support, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and daily IT operations within an educational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team to support staff and students, ensuring smooth functioning of computer labs, classrooms, and office IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide basic IT support to staff and students, addressing their technical needs promptly.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Assist in maintaining computer labs, classrooms, and office IT infrastructure.
- Support user account setup, email configuration, and system access management.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory and equipment records to ensure resource availability.
- Assist with system updates, backups, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the IT team on technology-related projects and activities.
- Document technical issues and their resolutions to improve knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

- Intermediate qualification or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and MS Office applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts and IP addressing.
- Experience or understanding of hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with operating system installation and configuration processes.
- Awareness of cybersecurity best practices is considered an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at Aptech Metro Star Gate Center in Karachi. The monthly compensation ranges from Rs25,000 to Rs30,000. This internship provides valuable exposure to IT operations within an educational institution, offering a solid foundation for a career in information technology.
