The IT Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the organization’s overall technology strategy, infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity efforts. This role ensures the delivery of secure, reliable, and cost-effective IT services across all offices and field locations, supporting the organization’s operational goals and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and annual plans that align with the organization’s objectives and donor expectations. Ensure governance frameworks are in place to guide IT operations effectively.
Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the management of systems, networks, servers, cloud platforms, and hardware/software environments across all office and field sites. Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Maintain robust data protection measures, including access controls, backups, disaster recovery plans, and adherence to data privacy standards. Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity policies and regulations.
Technical Support & Digitalization: Manage IT service delivery and helpdesk support to provide timely and effective assistance. Identify opportunities for automation and digital improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Asset & Vendor Management: Oversee technology lifecycle management, including software licensing, procurement processes, vendor contracts, and the annual IT budget. Ensure cost-effective and strategic vendor relationships.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of high-quality technical support and continuous service improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 6 to 8 years of overall IT experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in infrastructure management, cybersecurity, cloud administration, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
Additional Experience: At least 4 years of experience specifically in infrastructure and operations, asset and vendor management, as well as cybersecurity and compliance.
Location: The position is based in Karachi and requires in-person attendance.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience working with NGOs, non-profit organizations, or entities operating across multiple locations and field environments is highly desirable. This background will support the unique challenges of managing IT in a multi-site, donor-driven context.
Compensation: The monthly salary range for this role is Rs120,000 to Rs150,000.
