We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Officer to join our team in Karachi on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, including LAN/WAN networks, pfSense firewall, Active Directory, servers, and NAS storage systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on experience in networking, system administration, data backup, and recovery to ensure smooth and secure IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks and internet connectivity to maintain optimal performance.
- Configure and maintain the pfSense firewall, including firewall rules, NAT, VPN, and overall network security.
- Administer Active Directory by managing user accounts, groups, permissions, and domain policies.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, operating systems, software, and IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS services.
- Maintain servers, network devices, and NAS storage systems to ensure reliability and availability.
- Manage regular data backups, backup schedules, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical information.
- Monitor network performance, security, and system availability continuously.
- Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and system access logs accurately.
- Provide technical support to employees, ensuring efficient resolution of IT-related issues.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Practical experience in IT support, networking, and system administration, ideally between 2 to 4 years.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with pfSense firewall configuration and management.
- Good understanding of Windows Server environments and Active Directory administration.
- Experience with server maintenance, NAS storage management, backup, and recovery processes.
- Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- CCNA or other relevant networking certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience managing business IT infrastructure in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, disaster recovery planning, and IT security best practices.
