IT Operations & Systems Administrator

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Operations and System Administration professional with a strong networking background to manage and enhance our organization’s IT infrastructure. This role demands hands-on ownership of network troubleshooting, internet failover, firewall administration, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, monitoring systems, on-premises servers, endpoint support, asset management, and SaaS administration. The ideal candidate will take initiative to improve operational visibility and ensure business continuity through reliable infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily IT operations encompassing networking, systems administration, end-user support, and infrastructure availability.
- Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues across office and operational environments.
- Maintain internet failover readiness and coordinate continuity measures to minimize downtime.
- Administer firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and network access controls aligned with security and operational requirements.
- Oversee switches, VLANs, wireless networks, and access points to ensure stable internal connectivity and proper network segmentation.
- Maintain and support on-premises servers and core infrastructure services.
- Monitor infrastructure health, network performance, uptime, latency, bandwidth utilization, and system alerts using centralized monitoring tools.
- Provide Windows-based user support including installation, troubleshooting, device setup, and issue resolution.
- Manage organizational IT assets including allocation, tracking, lifecycle visibility, and compliance controls.
- Administer SaaS platforms and internal productivity tools, handling account provisioning, access coordination, and operational support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance infrastructure reliability, operational visibility, and response times.
- Take ownership of recurring issues by identifying root causes and proactively recommending improvements to strengthen the IT environment.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, and networking.
- Solid understanding of endpoint support, infrastructure monitoring, and operational ownership.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools such as pfSense and MikroTik.
- Experience managing firewall policies, VPNs, and internet failover mechanisms.
- Proficiency with switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and access point support, including Unified/UniFi devices.
- Skilled in on-premises server administration and core infrastructure management.
- Experience with SaaS administration and access coordination, particularly Google Workspace.
- Competence in Windows endpoint installation, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting platforms such as Zabbix.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to organizational growth.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
