Network Squad is seeking a results-oriented IT Sales & Business Development Manager to drive new business growth, manage client relationships, and increase revenue across the UK market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT networking, infrastructure solutions, system integration, and B2B technology sales. They should demonstrate a strong ability to generate leads, engage with customers, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals successfully. A deep understanding of the UK technology market is essential, along with an existing network of contacts including SMEs, enterprises, system integrators, contractors, consultants, MSPs, technology partners, or business decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, generate, qualify, and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK.
- Conduct proactive lead generation using cold calling, LinkedIn, email outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, exhibitions, and market research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with SMEs, enterprises, system integrators, contractors, consultants, developers, MSPs, technology partners, and end customers.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, customer meetings, solution discussions, proposal preparation, negotiation, to closing.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate IT networking and infrastructure solutions.
- Promote a range of solutions including LAN/WAN networking, switches and routers, Wi-Fi and wireless solutions, firewalls and network security, structured cabling, CCTV and ELV solutions, access control and security systems, IT infrastructure and system integration, managed IT and support services, and Microsoft 365 and cloud solutions.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, presentations, and solution documents in collaboration with technical and pre-sales teams.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and solution discussions.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms while ensuring profitable business outcomes.
- Maintain and regularly update the sales pipeline and CRM records.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and customers to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Identify cross-selling, upselling, renewal, and repeat business opportunities.
- Coordinate with engineering, pre-sales, operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery and handover after sales closure.
- Monitor UK market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging technology opportunities.
- Attend UK industry events, exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings to generate new business.
- Develop relationships with UK-based technology vendors, distributors, system integrators, contractors, and potential partners.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and business development plans.
- Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of professional experience in IT/ICT sales, business development, networking, infrastructure, system integration, ELV, or related technology sectors.
- Proven track record in B2B technology sales and business development, preferably within the UK market.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure solutions, including LAN/WAN, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, structured cabling, CCTV/ELV, and security systems.
- Demonstrated success in lead generation, client acquisition, negotiation, and deal closure.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK IT/ICT market and established relationships with customers, system integrators, contractors, consultants, MSPs, vendors, distributors, or technology partners.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Fortinet, Microsoft, CompTIA, or other networking/IT certifications are advantageous.
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred to facilitate customer visits and business development activities.

- Comfortable working in a business development and revenue-generating role with clear targets, proactive customer acquisition, regular follow-ups, negotiations, relationship building, and closing opportunities successfully.
This role requires in-person work within the UK. Candidates should be prepared to engage actively with the market and demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving sales targets and fostering long-term client relationships.
