IT Support Executive

TEKBOOX is looking for a proficient IT Support Executive with 3 to 4 years of practical experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, virtualization, backup solutions, and end-user technical support. The successful candidate will be skilled in managing pfSense firewalls, Cisco switches, CurrentWare, VMware ESXi/vSphere, Veeam Backup, Active Directory, Kerio tunneling, and WAN/LAN troubleshooting. This role demands strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to maintain and support a complex IT environment efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot pfSense firewalls, including firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, and security settings.
- Set up and maintain Cisco switches, VLANs, trunking, and access ports.
- Manage CurrentWare for internet monitoring, web filtering, and access control.
- Troubleshoot routing protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and WAN/LAN connectivity issues.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end users, resolving hardware, software, Windows OS, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Administer VMware ESXi/vSphere environments, handling virtual machine management and resource allocation.
- Monitor and maintain Veeam Backup jobs, perform data restoration, and resolve backup failures.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, security groups, permissions, and Group Policy administration.
- Troubleshoot domain authentication, access permissions, and connectivity problems.
- Configure and troubleshoot Kerio tunneling and VPN connectivity.
- Monitor server and network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Maintain IT documentation such as network diagrams, backup logs, and asset inventories.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Document incidents thoroughly, adhere to IT security policies, and meet support service level agreements (SLAs).

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
- Hands-on expertise with pfSense firewall configuration and Cisco switch management.
- Practical experience using CurrentWare, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Working knowledge of VMware ESXi/vSphere and Veeam Backup solutions.
- Familiarity with Kerio tunneling and VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and NAT.
- Proven experience troubleshooting WAN/LAN connectivity and network performance issues.
- Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking credentials.
- VMware or Veeam certifications.
- Experience with server administration, network monitoring, and IT ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and technical documentation practices.

This position is based onsite at DHA Phase 3, Y Block, Lahore, and requires working the night shift from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, five days a week.
