We are currently seeking a Backend Software Development Engineer (SDE-2) to design and develop scalable backend systems that align with our product goals. This role demands strong engineering fundamentals, system design expertise, and the ability to create maintainable, extensible solutions while addressing critical non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, and scalability. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded engineer who prioritizes quality, understands product impact, and is business-aware beyond just coding.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate product requirements into well-architected technical components.
- Break down projects into manageable tasks and provide accurate effort estimates.
- Design modular, extensible, and scalable low-level solutions.
- Write clean, readable, high-performance, and maintainable code.
- Select appropriate data structures, tools, and technology stacks.
- Contribute to high-level system design under the guidance of senior stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers to promote technical excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet shared objectives.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years of relevant backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java and backend frameworks such as Spring Boot or Dropwizard.
- Experience in building microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL, Hibernate, and relational databases.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech / M.Tech) or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux commands.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals.
- Experience with multithreading and concurrency programming.
- Ability to manage complex business logic and large-scale data processing.
- Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD practices.
- Proven track record of delivering robust and scalable web applications on time.
