Java Full Stack Development

We are seeking an experienced Custom Software Engineer to develop tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. This role involves utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that address specific business requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents, and provide comprehensive written knowledge transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents, offering constructive feedback to ensure quality and alignment.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software solutions according to technical design specifications.
- Identify system issues and recurring patterns to improve overall system quality by developing standard operating procedures.
- Proactively enhance applications by recommending improvements and designing and implementing system upgrades.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases, conduct peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to implement technical designs effectively.
- Research and adopt new technologies relevant to project needs.
- Assist customer support teams with resolving technical problems and queries.
- Work independently with broad decision-making authority and demonstrate leadership by mentoring less experienced developers.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews, and lead or contribute to additional projects as required.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience developing software systems for large business environments, with at least 7.5 years in Java full stack development.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, preferably using Java.
- Proven experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Hands-on experience with cloud SaaS infrastructure such as AWS and/or Azure, along with CI/CD and DevOps technologies.
- Extensive debugging skills and familiarity with unit testing, test-driven development, functional testing, and performance testing.
- Ability to operate across multiple levels of abstraction, from business strategy to detailed technical design and implementation.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills, with a customer-focused and results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex technical environments and drive results across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information:
- Experience with front-end development using React is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of database systems including SQL and NoSQL, and data architecture principles.
- Experience integrating with event bus technologies such as Pulsar and cloud-based big data solutions like Snowflake is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with software security best practices and security-enhancing tools.
- Proficiency in at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of industry-leading technologies in big data and machine learning.
- At least 8 years of experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large-scale business environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with distributed systems and big data in cloud environments.
