Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and fellow developers to create innovative software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects promptly.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Java SE, Java EE, and frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and application servers like Jetty and Tomcat.
- Proficiency in database technologies including Oracle and PostgreSQL, along with ORM tools.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Vaadin and/or Apache Wicket is highly desirable.
- Experience using version control systems, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Domain knowledge of financial technologies is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
