Job Description – Cashier

Company: Salt Pakistan Department: Front of House (FOH) Position: Cashier Reports To: Branch Manager / Restaurant Manager

Location: As assigned by management

1. Job Summary

Salt Pakistan is looking for a professional, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Cashier with prior experience working in an international restaurant chain or QSR brand. The candidate will be responsible for managing billing operations, handling cash and digital payments, maintaining transaction accuracy, and delivering an excellent customer experience in line with Salt's brand standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

Process customer orders and payments accurately through the POS system.
Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other digital payment methods.
Issue receipts and ensure accurate billing for every transaction.
Maintain accurate cash records and ensure proper cash reconciliation at the end of each shift.
Manage cash floats, cash drops, and shift closing procedures according to company policies.
Ensure all discounts, promotions, refunds, and void transactions are properly authorized.
Maintain accurate records of daily sales and report discrepancies to management.
Provide professional, polite, and efficient customer service.
Coordinate with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth order processing and service.
Follow company procedures for cash handling, fraud prevention, and financial accountability.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and grooming standards.
Report POS issues, payment discrepancies, and other operational concerns promptly.
Maintain confidentiality of company financial information and customer transaction details.

3. Qualifications & Experience

Intermediate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous cashier experience with an international restaurant chain or established international QSR brand is mandatory.
Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems and cash reconciliation.
Strong understanding of cash handling, billing procedures, and digital payment methods.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment is highly preferred.

Proper authorization of refunds, discounts, and voids.
Adherence to attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards.

6. Role Expectations The Cashier is expected to maintain the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, professionalism, and customer service while supporting Salt Pakistan's operational excellence and international brand standards. Important Requirement: Candidates without relevant experience in an international restaurant chain or QSR brand will not be considered.

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs45,000.00 per month
