Jr. Android Developer

HyperSoft Tech is an innovative and collaborative technology company seeking a motivated Junior Android Developer to join our on-site team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Android development and eager to tackle technical challenges while utilizing AI-powered coding tools. The successful candidate will contribute to building, maintaining, and improving Android applications, working closely with modern development practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing Android applications by fixing bugs and implementing minor features.
- Utilize AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude, or similar tools to support development and debugging efforts.
- Review, test, and validate AI-generated code to ensure it meets quality, functionality, and maintainability standards.
- Adhere to established project architecture, coding standards, and development practices.
- Develop using Kotlin, Android SDK, XML/Jetpack Compose, and Android Studio.
- Assist with Git workflows, application testing, and release processes.
- Document code changes, track progress, and communicate technical issues or blockers effectively.

Required Qualifications:
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience in Android development.
- Basic knowledge of Kotlin and Android application development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and the structure of Android projects.
- Understanding of core Android components such as Activities, Fragments, UI layouts, and the Android lifecycle.
- Basic proficiency with Git and version control platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants for code generation, debugging, or development support.
- Ability to comprehend existing codebases, identify issues, and implement fixes.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM/MVI and Clean Architecture is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs, Retrofit, Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, and dependency injection will be considered a plus.
- Experience in maintaining existing applications or leveraging AI tools to assist with debugging and code development is beneficial.
- This is a full-time, on-site position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
