Junior Accountant (UK Accounting Firm)

CBM Accounting Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at Naval Anchorage, Islamabad. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build their career and gain hands-on experience in UK accounting and bookkeeping. The position requires a minimum of six months of relevant accounting experience and offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 50,000 to 80,000. The working hours are from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the role based on-site.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Record and review day-to-day financial transactions
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Maintain bookkeeping records
- Assist with monthly management reporting
- Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness
- Support senior accountants with client bookkeeping and accounts
- Assist in the preparation of accounts and other accounting-related tasks
- Ensure all accounting tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Communicate professionally with clients when required

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com, M.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or BS in Accounting & Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of six months relevant accounting experience
- Practical experience with Xero accounting software is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Fluent spoken English
- Basic understanding or experience in UK accounting and bookkeeping
- Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Solid grasp of accounting principles and day-to-day bookkeeping
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new accounting software and systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
