We are looking for a motivated Junior Assistant Manager – Imports to join our team at the Corporate Office in Gulberg, Lahore. This role is designed for candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience in import operations and a solid background in supply chain management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing import processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and accurately calculating landed costs. This position plays a vital role in supporting the company’s procurement and logistics functions, contributing to smooth and efficient import operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage advance payments, open accounts, and letters of credit related to import transactions.
- Create and process purchase orders (POs) efficiently, ensuring timely procurement.
- Conduct detailed scrutiny of shipping documents to verify accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate shipment clearance using cash or Electronic Funds Settlement (EFS) methods.
- Calculate import duties based on customs regulations and relevant documentation to determine the final landed cost of imported goods.
- Handle the processing of clearing bills and sales tax invoices accurately.
- Prepare and finalize comprehensive landed cost reports for all imported goods, ensuring precise cost accounting.
Required Qualifications
- MBA in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in import operations or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import documentation, and landed cost calculations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
