RIAA Barker Gillette, one of Pakistan’s largest and most prestigious law firms, is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Dispute Resolution team in Islamabad. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or lawyers with up to one year of experience who are eager to develop their skills in litigation and arbitration. The successful candidate will assist senior counsel in handling complex, high-value commercial disputes before district courts, High Courts, and the Supreme Court of Pakistan, while gaining valuable exposure to both domestic and international arbitration.

Key Responsibilities
- Support senior lawyers in managing commercial dispute cases across various courts in Pakistan.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, submissions, and other legal documents.
- Assist in preparing cases for arbitration proceedings, including document review and strategy discussions.
- Translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice for clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective case management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedural rules affecting dispute resolution.

Required Qualifications
- An LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a reputable national or international university.
- Outstanding academic record, demonstrated by at least an Upper Second-Class Honours degree for University of London graduates or a minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 for graduates of LUMS or other recognized local universities.
- Enrolment as an advocate with the relevant Bar Council, or proof of enrolment in progress.
- A genuine interest in commercial litigation and arbitration.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills, with the ability to present complex legal analysis in a clear and practical manner.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Up to one year of practical experience in dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration, will be considered an advantage.
