Junior Developer (Python)

Webbuggs is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Python Developer to join our development team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with some practical experience who are eager to enhance their Python programming skills in a professional setting. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in Python, a strong willingness to learn, and an interest in contributing to the creation of reliable software solutions while collaborating closely with experienced developers.

Key Responsibilities

- Write clean, readable, and maintainable Python code to support ongoing projects.
- Assist in the development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of Python-based applications.
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and resolve technical challenges.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs as needed for various applications.
- Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB to manage data effectively.
- Understand and contribute to existing codebases and ongoing development efforts.
- Identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and implement appropriate solutions promptly.
- Adhere to coding standards, version control practices, and development guidelines.
- Participate actively in code reviews and team discussions to ensure code quality.
- Document code and technical processes when required to maintain clarity and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, libraries, and technologies relevant to assigned projects.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python programming, including familiarity with core concepts.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Knowledge of data structures, functions, modules, and exception handling in Python.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database operations.
- Awareness of REST APIs and HTTP methods is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address development challenges.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API integration and handling JSON data formats.
- Basic understanding of software testing and debugging methodologies.
- Experience with Linux commands or command-line tools is a plus.

Employment Details

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore, Pakistan. The working days are Monday through Friday, with the shift scheduled for the evening. Candidates must be comfortable working on-site during these hours and collaborating closely with the development team on assigned projects.
