Junior Estimator

ALMA1938 is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Estimator to join their team, supporting the preparation of cost estimates, quotations, and project pricing for bespoke luxury interior projects. The role involves assisting in reviewing project requirements, analysing drawings and specifications, calculating quantities, obtaining supplier prices, and preparing accurate cost breakdowns in collaboration with relevant teams. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, quotations, and detailed project cost breakdowns.
- Review drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and other project documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Calculate material quantities and estimate costs related to materials, labour, and other project expenses.
- Request, compare, and analyse supplier quotations to support competitive and accurate pricing.
- Maintain precise records of costs, estimates, and supplier pricing for future reference and audit purposes.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to gather necessary project information.
- Support the preparation and timely submission of tender documents within agreed deadlines.
- Identify missing information or discrepancies in project documents and escalate issues as needed.
- Keep estimating records well-organised and ensure all calculations are accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD, technical drawings, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and effective time management.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with estimation software, PDF tools, or ERP systems is considered an advantage.
