You will collaborate closely with the Director of Architecture (CTO) to develop and enhance Imera AI’s current product offerings. From day one, you will be writing real production code, contributing directly to the product’s success. While guidance will be provided, a fast learner with a proactive attitude is essential to thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop frontend components and pages using Next.js, adhering to design specifications.
- Create backend API endpoints with Fastify/Node.js under senior supervision.
- Write and execute database queries in PostgreSQL.
- Integrate APIs in both sandbox and production environments with oversight.
- Address bugs and respond promptly to QA feedback.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of your work.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Work within AI-based architectures, requiring familiarity with concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, Voice AI, and automation technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional experience or a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant projects.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with comfort beyond basic familiarity.
- Hands-on experience building projects using React or Next.js.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs.
- Ability to write SQL queries, with knowledge of joins and indexes.
- Daily use of Git, including pull requests and conflict resolution.
- Strong desire to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced team environment.
- Good written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Node.js backend development.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Vercel.
- Familiarity with voice APIs, AI APIs, or automation tools.
- Previous work experience in a startup or agency setting.
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from PKR 60,000 to 70,000, commensurate with experience and portfolio quality. You will benefit from daily mentorship by senior team members, enabling rapid skill development. This role involves working on real products and production code, not mock projects, providing valuable hands-on experience. Strong performers have the opportunity to fast-track into senior roles. The office is located in Gulberg, Islamabad, and this is an on-site position.
