Junior IT Support Executive

Marcus Evans is a UK-based international company with offices worldwide, providing business information, events, and professional services across various industries. We are currently seeking a Junior IT Support Executive to join our Islamabad office. This role is ideal for fresh IT or Computer Science graduates, or individuals at the start of their IT careers, who possess strong technical fundamentals and are eager to develop their skills within a global IT environment. The position primarily involves Level 1 IT support, with training provided, making previous commercial IT experience helpful but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1 technical support to users both locally and remotely.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 10/11, laptops, desktops, software, and general hardware.
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive, along with other business software.
- Perform basic user administration tasks in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including password resets and account unlocks.
- Support Microsoft Intune device management and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot basic network issues, including Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
- Log and manage support requests through the Service Desk, escalating complex problems to senior IT teams as needed.
- Maintain IT equipment and provide hands-on support within the Islamabad office.
- Collaborate with wider IT teams supporting offices globally.

Required Qualifications

- Degree or qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or currently pursuing one.
- Good understanding of Windows operating systems and general PC troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and networking fundamentals.
- Interest in learning emerging technologies such as Microsoft Intune and cloud-based IT services.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- A helpful attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- The role is office-based at Islamabad i-8 Markaz, with working hours from 4 PM to 1 AM Islamabad time, including a one-hour break, with some flexibility as needed.
