Junior IT Support Executive

Marcus Evans is a UK-based international company with a global presence, offering business information, events, and professional services across various industries. We are currently seeking a Junior IT Support Executive to join our Islamabad office. This role is ideal for fresh IT or Computer Science graduates, or individuals at the early stages of their IT careers, who possess strong technical fundamentals and are eager to develop their skills within a global IT environment. The position primarily involves Level 1 IT support, and while previous commercial IT experience is advantageous, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1 technical support to users both locally and remotely.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 10/11, laptops, desktops, software, and general hardware.
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Perform basic user administration tasks in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, such as password resets and account unlocks.
- Support Microsoft Intune device management and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi and VPN.
- Log and manage support requests through the Service Desk system, escalating complex issues to senior IT teams as necessary.
- Maintain IT equipment and provide hands-on support within the Islamabad office.
- Collaborate with wider IT teams supporting offices worldwide.

Required Qualifications

- Degree or qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or currently pursuing one.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and general PC troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and networking concepts.
- Interest in learning emerging technologies such as Microsoft Intune and cloud-based IT services.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- A helpful attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- This is an office-based role located in Islamabad i-8 Markaz.
- Working hours are from 4 PM to 1 AM Islamabad time, including a one-hour break, with some flexibility as required.
