We are looking for a motivated and experienced sales representative to join our growing team. The primary focus of this role is to promote and drive the adoption of the Press’s curriculum textbooks across schools, colleges, and higher education institutions. The successful candidate will actively engage in fieldwork, visiting prospective, current, and former customers to build and maintain strong relationships. This role requires developing a solid network of contacts within the assigned territory to effectively increase sales. The sales representative will be responsible for managing all sales activities while upholding the Press’s policies, standards, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of curriculum textbooks by engaging with educational institutions including schools, colleges, and universities.
- Conduct regular visits to prospective, current, and past customers to build and sustain long-term relationships.
- Develop and maintain a strong base of contacts within the designated territory to support sales growth.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process, from initial contact through to closing deals and after-sales support.
- Represent the Press professionally and ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and mission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies and meet organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback.
- Travel as required to meet clients and attend relevant events or meetings.
Required Qualifications
- A strong educational background with a relevant master’s degree.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in sales, preferably within the education or publishing sector.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Impeccable command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently as per business requirements.
