Junior Mechanical Engineer

Sothassi (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a motivated Junior Production / Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at the Rawat facility in Islamabad. This full-time, on-site role offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about motorcycles and manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the motorcycle assembly process, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of production operations within a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support motorcycle assembly processes, including workstation planning and ensuring production readiness by preparing tools, racks, trolleys, jigs, and fixtures.
- Prepare and update assembly instructions, quality checklists, inspection documents, and other technical documentation to maintain high production standards.
- Ensure production activities comply with defined procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Track production orders and maintain accurate data in the company’s MRP/ERP system, acting as the primary contact for data accuracy and system updates.
- Assist in preparing technical documents and applications required for product and manufacturing approvals.
- Coordinate with the materials team to ensure timely availability and flow of parts to the assembly line.
- Support production improvement initiatives such as line balancing, time studies, 5S implementation, and practical process enhancements.
- Evaluate technical and commercial quotations for production tools and equipment to support procurement decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to assembly technicians as needed to maintain smooth operations.
- Contribute to mechanical design and product development efforts as experience and skills grow.

Required Qualifications

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; qualifications in Automotive Engineering or closely related fields will also be considered.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interest in motorcycles, automotive engineering, or manufacturing is essential.
- Good written communication and organizational skills, with a keen eye for technical detail.
- A practical, proactive mindset with the ability to work across various tasks in a startup-like environment.
- Candidates residing in or near Islamabad or Rawalpindi are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with Formula Student competitions is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is beneficial, particularly for future involvement in design work.
