This full-time remote position is for a Junior QA Engineer who will primarily focus on executing manual tests, following established test plans, and validating software functionality against defined requirements. The role involves working closely with developers and designers to ensure the delivery of reliable and user-friendly digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases for functional and regression testing.
- Perform manual testing, including regression and exploratory testing, across various features and platforms.
- Log, track, and communicate defects clearly to development teams using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to uphold product quality standards.
- Document test results and support release activities to ensure smooth deployment of software updates.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Solid foundational knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and software testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing and test execution across different software features and platforms.
- Ability to design, document, and maintain clear and structured test cases.
- Basic proficiency with defect tracking tools and effective communication of issues to developers.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- A keen interest in learning automation testing and modern QA tools over time.
- Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
