Junior SEO Specialist

Elite IT Team is seeking a motivated Junior SEO Specialist eager to develop expertise in both traditional SEO and the evolving landscape of AI-driven search. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in on-page optimization, content creation, link building, and enhancing visibility across search engines and generative AI platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with content, design, development, and senior SEO teams to improve organic rankings, traffic, and conversions for both the company’s brand and its clients. This position requires a proactive mindset, the ability to analyze search intent, identify opportunities, and continuously refine strategies to achieve measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

- Optimize on-page SEO elements including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, image alt tags, schema markup, structured data, and FAQs.
- Create, edit, and optimize SEO-friendly content for blogs, landing pages, service pages, and other website materials based on keyword research and search intent.
- Conduct keyword research, analyze search intent, perform competitor analysis, and identify opportunities to boost organic visibility.
- Manage landing pages by creating, updating, and optimizing them to improve keyword rankings, user experience, and conversions.
- Support off-page SEO efforts such as backlink research, link-building activities, competitor backlink analysis, digital PR, and outreach to relevant websites.
- Optimize content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to increase chances of appearing in featured snippets, People Also Ask sections, and AI-generated answers by structuring clear responses and FAQs.
- Assist with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) by enhancing brand and website visibility on AI-powered search platforms through authoritative content, entity signals, citation opportunities, and brand mention monitoring.
- Implement technical SEO elements like schema markup, structured data, canonical tags, and image attributes, with guidance from senior team members.
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, landing page performance, backlinks, and AEO/GEO visibility metrics.
- Perform daily SEO tasks including website audits, internal linking, content updates, competitor analysis, and applying SEO recommendations.
- Conduct content audits to identify gaps, outdated information, keyword cannibalization, and optimization opportunities.
- Assist in preparing SEO performance reports using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
- Collaborate effectively with writers, designers, developers, and senior SEO specialists to implement optimization strategies.
- Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, search trends, and advancements in SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI-driven search technologies.

Required Qualifications

- Basic to intermediate understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, and content optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with meta tags, heading structures, image alt attributes, internal linking, schema markup, and FAQ implementation.
- Strong content writing, editing, and optimization skills.
- Understanding of backlink profiles, link-building fundamentals, and competitor backlink analysis.
- Basic awareness of AEO and GEO concepts and how to optimize content for answer engines and AI-powered search platforms.
- Experience with landing page optimization, keyword tracking, and monitoring organic performance.
- Exposure to SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or SEMrush is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Openness to learning, receiving feedback, and collaborating within a team environment.
