We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Junior Software Engineer to join our Engineering & Robotics team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in software development and demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering software, robotics, embedded systems, and hardware-integrated applications. This role offers the chance to work on challenging projects where software directly interacts with real-world engineering systems and hardware, providing valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications primarily using C# and/or C++.
- Contribute to the creation of engineering software and robotics applications.
- Assist in developing software solutions that interface with hardware, embedded platforms, and engineering systems.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, debugging, testing, and integration.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers to understand technical requirements and implement software features accordingly.
- Support software and hardware integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve software issues through effective debugging and problem-solving techniques.
- Contribute to the development and testing of applications focused on engineering and hardware integration.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to engineering and robotics software development.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge or experience with WPF and XAML.
- Familiarity with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) applications.
- Exposure to DirectX graphics programming.
- Fundamental understanding of hardware/software communication interfaces such as USB and Wi-Fi.
- Experience or exposure to embedded systems or microcontrollers.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages is considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Robotics Engineering.
- Candidates from leading universities with strong technical fundamentals, including FAST NUCES, NUST, Air University, GIKI, Comsats, and Quaid-i-Azam University, are preferred.
