Junior VOIP Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of innovative networking and communication solutions for enterprise businesses across Pakistan. Specializing in IT infrastructure, VoIP, and comprehensive project delivery, they are seeking a skilled VoIP & Core Network Engineer with expertise in presales and support. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise voice solutions while collaborating closely with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise VoIP and unified communication solutions tailored to client needs.
- Configure and troubleshoot SIP signaling, SIP trunking, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), and PBX/UCaaS platforms.
- Provide technical presales support, including solution design and customer consultations to align technology with business requirements.
- Deploy networking and VoIP solutions for enterprise clients, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
- Deliver Tier-3 technical support, resolving complex networking and voice-related issues efficiently.
- Utilize packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and sngrep to diagnose and troubleshoot network and VoIP problems.
- Configure and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing protocols.
- Optimize Quality of Service (QoS) settings to ensure high-quality voice traffic.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and customers to drive project success and maintain strong client relationships.

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in VoIP and core networking environments.
- Strong understanding of SIP signaling protocols and SIP trunking configurations.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
- Experience with PBX and UCaaS platforms in enterprise settings.
- Practical knowledge of networking protocols including BGP and OSPF.
- Skilled in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing configurations.
- Expertise in implementing and managing QoS for voice traffic to maintain call quality.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark and sngrep.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively in client-facing roles.
